Agnetha is most well-known for her part in ABBA instead of as a solo artist in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups in history, both commercially and globally. Leaving school at 15 to explore a career in music, she soon found herself singing in the band of Bernt Enghardt and attracted a fan following. The singer was signed to a record deal with Enghardt. Her debut album charted in Sweden. She got engaged, then got married to Bjorn Ulvaeus. They joined "ABBA". ABBA was one of greatest pop acts throughout the world over the time period of 8 years. They won Gold and Platinum awards all over the world. After ABBA her three albums including 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' as well as 'Eyes Of A Woman and 'I Stand Alone'. Each of which garnered great success in Sweden and gained popularity throughout Europe and beyond, but she was never able to make an impact in the U.S. The '80s were coming to an end her career took an informal retirement.
